The Authors

Drs. Edward C. Rosenow III, J. Keith Mansel, and Walter R. Wilson estimate they have interacted with tens of thousands of patients over their careers and have learned something from each of them—resulting in their knowledge of how the ideal physician is (or isn’t) developed. The three physicians also credit their role models with teaching them the importance to healing through caring. Over the years, the doctors have worked with numerous fellow physicians, nurses, and other allied health-care personnel (many younger), who were tremendous resources for learning. In this book, the three physicians remind their peers and others to never forget their obligation to maintain the trust the public—patients—have in them.
